Serving Up a Sweet Scoop this 4th of July!

Seven of Hearts is serving up a special treat that will have you seeing fireworks! July 4th & 5th, we will be scooping Willamette Valley Cookspace’s cool & refreshing Goatopia. A frozen goat cheese parfait fused with our newly released 2014 Viognier Ice Princess Dessert Wine. This is a must-try that needs to be experienced, so be sure to stop in the tasting room to grab a cold scoop with our weekend wine flight!

6pm arrival, dinner at 6:30.


Chef Jason French at Ned Ludd has come up with a very inspired menu to be prepared with 6 wines!

Featuring our 2009 Special Reserve and 2 New Release wines.

$78 per person. Advanced Reservations Required. Bob Wood – 2nd Edition Curmudgeon Cuvée

In Honor of Bob Wood
2013 Curmudgeon Cuvée Pick Up Party: March 7-8

This wine was created once again from the Armstrong Vineyard in the Ribbon Ridge AVA, which has particular significance to us as it was Bob Wood who introduced the vineyard to the winery.  This is a barrel selection drawn from top barrels from the vintage with the goal of creating a wine that Bob Wood have a particular appreciation of (we strive in the Curmudgeon Cuvée to make a wine that is a true abomination). The blend is a cuvée of partial barrels, including whole cluster fermented Pommard and a separate lot of co-fermented 114 and 667. As with the 2012 version, there are no new oak influences in the selections, and there will be an emphasis on elegance, aromatics, and ageability.

If you have purchased this wine, it is now ready for pickup. For those of you who have yet to buy this wine, we have a limited number of bottles remaining and will have it available for purchase in the tasting room.

The price of this wine is $42.00. For each bottle sold from a barrel of this wine, $21 will be donated to the Beaverton YMCA. Seven of Hearts will donate $5000 when all the wine is sold out.  Please note there are no magnums with this year’s offering. The Y is a charity, dedicated to youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. With programs from A to Z—like athletics to advocacy, dance classes to disease prevention, volleyball to volunteerism. At the Y everyone is provided the opportunity to participate in programs and services regardless of economic barriers. The Y’s volunteer driven Annual Campaign relies on generous gifts from private donors and local businesses. Last year the Beaverton Hoop YMCA awarded nearly $120,000 in scholarships to youth, families and adults right here in Washington County. 56% of the Y members and 20% of the Y’s program participants wouldn’t be able to enjoy the benefits of the Y without the financial assistance program.

Grower of Armstrong Vineyard and good friend, Doug Ackerman, captured the essence of Bob Wood in three sentences: “He was fiercely loyal if he was your friend, and royal pain if not. I will miss his fanatical devotion to Oregon wine, his unbelievable support of our vineyard, his witty repartee, and his deep affection for my family. You will be missed.
