Newberg First Friday Artwalk!
Catch us at Honest Chocolates, 312 E. First Street, during the Newberg First Friday Artwalk, Friday February 6, 2009 from 5-9pm. We will be pouring both our 2006 Dundee Hills Pinot Noir (just a few cases left) and the recently released 2007 Pinot Noir Eola-Amity Hills. A $2 tasting fee includes both wines and two custom chocolates designed by Honest Chocolates to pair with these two wines. 2009 Portland Indie Wine Festival
We had a great time at the Portland Indie Wine Festival this year! The showcase wine was our 2007 Pinot Noir Eola-Amity Hills Reserve. We poured six wines at the Trade Tasting, including a sneak preview of the 2008 Chatte d'Avignon Viognier & Roussanne. We even got a nice shout out from David Gray at Examiner.com.
2009 Memorial Weekend
Along with our full line-up of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir (plus a few other intiguing items), on Memorial Day Weekend (and the weekend before), we will be introducing our 2008 Seven of Hearts Chatte d'Avignon Viognier & Roussanne, a blend of 75% Viognier and 25% Roussanne from the Columbia Valley. This wine was inspired by the great white wines from the Chateauneuf du Pape region of France. A tasting fee of $10 will include seven wines from Seven of Hearts and the spunky Zinfandels and Primitivo from Three Angels. And, of course, Honest Chocolates will be providing custom wine tasting chocolates designed to pair with our Pinot Noir and Three Angels' Zinfandels.

Traditional January Burgundy Pairing
Join us in our tasting room in Carlton for annual January Burgundy Pairing, taking place this coming weekend, Friday 1/8 - Sunday 1/10, Noon until 6pm (5pm on Sunday). This year, in addition to pouring some of Byron's favorite white and red Burgundies alongside our Chardonnay and Pinot Noirs, we are extending the tradition to include a spectacular white Rhone paired with our Rhone-inspired Chatte d'Avignon Viognier & Roussanne blend.

As always, we will be pairing several of our wines with wine tasting chocolates from Honest Chocolates. Several flights will be offered between $5 and $7, including one or two wine tasting chocolates. Tasting fees are waived for wine purchases, and free for Wine Club Members.

Tasting with Twelve!

These include the 2009 Seven of Hearts Chardonnay Crawford Beck Vineyard, the 2009 Seven of Hearts Willamette Valley Pinot Noir, the 2009 Seven of Hearts Crawford Beck Pinot Noir, and the 2009 Seven of Hearts Special Reserve Pinot Noir, the 2009 Luminous Hills Astra, and possibly barrel samples of our 2010 Rose, 2010 Pinot Gris, 2010 Viognier & Roussanne, and 2010 Viognier Dessert Wine (Ice Princess). The Willamette Valley is recognized as one of the finest Pinot Noir producing regions in the world and is home to over 200 wineries. The price for the tasting is $10 for the flight of 10 wines, and $5 for the small plate (fees for both waived for wine club members).
Early Bird Special: Sometimes these holiday events will start off slow and get rolling in earnest in the mid and late afternoon. As an extra incentive to encourage early attendance, for the first two hours of each of the event days, from 11am to 1pm, we will have several cases of some special wines (last few cases) out on the floor with special discounts.
