2010 Seven of Hearts Mahonia Vineyard Chardonnay Willamette Valley

2010 Seven of Hearts Mahonia Chardonnay Willamette Valley

Palate Press, September 6, 2012. By Ryan Reichert. Clear, bright, pale golden color. Clean on the nose with medium intensity aromas: caramel, vanilla, orange, yeast, white floral, fleshy sun-warmed peaches, and dried ginger. Dry on the palate with medium-high acidity, medium to medium-full body. Flavors of candied lemon peel, orange, tart peaches, green apple. A creamy, round texture and a long lingering finish. Pair with mustard crusted pork tenderloin and roasted root vegetables. Highly Recommended (92-95). Read full review here: http://palatepress.com/2012/09/wine/2010-seven-of-hearts-chardonnay-mahonia-vineyard/

Wines Northwest, November 16, 2012. By Chuck Hill.  This single-vineyard Chardonnay from the Willamette Valley AVA south of Salem, Oregon, really impressed our tasters with complexity and character . . . and it is a great oyster and mussel wine, too!  Look for aromas and flavors of wet stone, grapefruit, white peach, fresh herbs and floral notes.  The production was only 63 cases, so if you spot a bottle at your local wine shop, grab it! Read full review here: http://www.winesnw.com/ChuckHillArchives/chuckhill_oyster_wines_part3_archv_Nov16_2012.htm
