2010 Seven of Hearts Lias Vineyard Pinot Noir Chehalem Mountains

– Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar, July 2012. By: Josh Raynolds. (this vineyard was formerly named Jacob Hart):  Bright red.  Intense, spice-accented aromas of red berries, cola and potpourri, with a hint of blood orange in the background.  Lively and precise in the mouth, with focused black raspberry and bitter cherry flavors and a hint of gingerbread.  Finishes with intense red fruit character and lingering sweetness. 92 points

PinotFile, May 11, 2012. By: Rusty Gaffney, MD. Light in color. Subdued but teasing array of red Pinot fruit aromas. Light and elegant core of tasty darker raspberry and cherry fruit with a hint of spice and sandalwood. Opens nicely in the glass with ever-expanding flavor. Supple tannins make for easy drinking now. Very good. Read full review here: http://princeofpinot.com/tastingnote/5030/
