PinotFile, May 11, 2012. By: Rusty Gaffney, MD. Moderately light reddish-purple color in the glass. Hi-tone and pure aromas of black cherries and black raspberries. Delicious mid palate fruit offering a mélange of dark red and black berries, stone fruits and black grapes. Supple tannins make for easy drinking now. Impeccable balance and very polished. Hard to top the Estate Grown bottling, but this one does with slightly more flavor and length. Crazy good at a modest price. Will be one of my 2012 All-Americans. Read full article here: http://princeofpinot.com/tastingnote/5010/

– Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar, July 2012. By: Josh Raynolds. Vivid red.  Intense, heady aromas of red and dark berries, cola, incense and fresh flowers, with a spicy overtone.  Juicy and precise, but with a silky texture to its vibrant red berry and cherry flavors.  Sweet and spicy on the energetic finish, which clings with outstanding persistence.  This comes in at 13.5% alcohol while the 2009 version carried 15%, by the way.  In the context of topnotch Oregon pinot noirs this wine is a remarkable value. 92 points
